Riding School
At the Moy we cater for children and adults of all abilities and levels
.
Our young and innovative staff are full of enthusiasm and new ideas.
We cater for all types of people and ponies. From mums who need some 'me time', the kitchen is open after lessons for a coffee and girly chat; to children who equally need 'me time', the yard is an open day every Saturday where there is a strict children only policy and the kids can enjoy grooming and helping out in a safe and friendly environment. For those of you looking for a little more, chief instructor Michael is an active eventer and is keen to help up and coming competitors in any of the three disiplines (dressage, show jumping and cross country), similarly Michaels sister Grace enjoys helping children and young riders to get the best out of their ponies and specialises in the showjumping disipline.
We can cater for riders from the age of 5 yrs. and we encourage social
inclusion, tolerance of diversity and promote, where possible, mixed lessons where children with special needs are integrated. 'Ability, not Disability' is our motto.
Here at the Moy we take pride in our huge sucess rate in the national AIRE examinations which are held here every 6months for the children to progress and improve their knowledge of equitation and stable management. We find these exams particularly sucessful in giving children something to aim towards. Children as young as six years old have sat and passed their Grade A exam here in the Moy.
We would be delighted to take the time to show you our facilities
and talk to you about your individual needs. We also prepare students for the British Horse Society exams and over the years we have had a very successful string of students on FAS training courses complete these exams.
